The 2015 Legislative Session came to close on June 1st, and the result was 549 bills signed into law. This interactive discussion will include an overview of the session and an analysis of some of these new laws and how they will impact businesses in Nevada.

GREG BROWER represents the Reno area in the Nevada State Senate where he is the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee. He is also a partner in Snell & Wilmer’s Las Vegas and Reno offices where his practice is focused on civil and criminal litigation, regulatory and administrative law matters. He previously served as U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada, and also served in the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. He is an adjunct professor of law at UNLV’s Boyd School of Law where he has taught trial advocacy and national security law. A frequent author and lecturer on gaming issues, Senator Brower is a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Association of Gaming Advisors.
KIM SINATRA currently serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Wynn Resorts, Limited. Ms. Sinatra joined the company in January 2004 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of its development activities. From 2000-2003 she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Park Place Entertainment, Inc. (which was later acquired by Caesars Entertainment). She has also served as General Counsel for The Griffin Group, Inc., Merv Griffin’s investment management company, and as a partner in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP.
MIKE SLOAN, Senior Vice President of Government Relations for Fertitta Entertainment LLC and Station Casinos LLC, is responsible for local, state, and federal government relations, public relations and all legislative activities. Mr. Sloan served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel with Mandalay Resort Group (formerly Circus Circus Enterprises) for 20 years as well as serving for many years on the Board of Directors for the Nevada Resort Association, including a four-year term as Chairman. Prior to joining the company, he provided gaming and governmentrelations consulting services for some of Nevada’s largest gaming companies. He was elected Las Vegas City Attorney in 1977 and twice appointed to Nevada State Senate.
NEAL TOMLINSON (Moderator) is a partner in Snell & Wilmer’s Las Vegas and Reno offices where his practice is concentrated in the areas of government relations and administrative law, including regulatory compliance, licensing and lobbying. He has been lobbying at the Nevada State Legislature for more than a decade and regularly represents business clients in matters before local, state and federal government agencies.
